Belarus’ GDP up 10.9% in Q1 2011

In January-March 2011 Belarus’ gross domestic product totaled 110.9% over the same period 2010 in comparable prices, BelTA learnt from the National Statistics Committee.
The GDP of the industrial sector stepped up 12.5%, the GDP of services was 10% up. The forecast for the country’s social and economic development provides for a 9-10% growth in 2011.
The industrial output in Q1 totaled Br49.818 trillion (increased 11.8%, the forecast for 2011 stands at 9-9.5%). The share of innovation products designed for export made up 11.8% of the total exports in January-March (the annual growth forecast is 12-13%).
