Loans to agricultural corporations increased for the second consecutive month and at the end of February 2011 amounted to 27.6 billion UAH (1 USD - 7.96 UAH). The rate of increase in monthly terms accelerated from 1% to 3%, according to the statistical release of the National Bank on lending agricultural corporations.

Foreign currency loans continued to increase at a faster pace than loans in national currency (105% vs. 102.3%) and amounted in late February to 7.4 and 20.2 billion UAH, respectively.

In annual terms, the change of credits to agricultural corporations had a positive value, and the rate of increase accelerated. In February 2011, the growth increased to 10.3% against 8.6% in January (on the loans granted to nonfinancial corporations the increase was 10.3% vs. 11.5%).

By maturity on an annualized basis, for the first time since October 2009, an increase has been observed in short-term loans (by 6.6%). The increase in loans to agricultural corporations ranging from 1 to 5 years was 3.9%.
