IMF downgrades balance of payments' current account deficit forecast to 3.6% of GDP

The International Monetary Fund has downgraded the forecast current account deficit in Ukraine's 2011 balance of payments to 3.6% of GDP, the IMF world economic forecast says.
In the previous forecast in October last year, the Fund estimated the balance of payments' current account deficit of Ukraine in 2011 at 1.3% of GDP.
GDP growth in Ukraine in 2011, according to the IMF, is expected to be 4.5%.
In 2012, the IMF predicts an increase in the balance of payments' current account deficit to 3.8% of GDP, and the GDP growth for the year is expected to reach 4.9%.
According to IMF forecasts, the average annual inflation in 2011 will amount to 9.2% and to 8.3% in 2012.
Under the IMF forecast, the growth of unemployment in Ukraine in 2011 will amount to 7.8%, and to 7.2% in 2012.
