Kyiv Oblast Governor, Mr. Prysazhniuk, not to be confused with the Minister of Agriculture, announced that a group of investors with the support of Renaissance Capital will begin working the idle land in the radioactive contaminated area around Chernobyl. The land has not been farmed for 25 years since the catastrophe. Initially they plan open 50,000 hectares and to seed 15,000 hectares of winter rape this fall. The question is who will want the production from the radioactive lands?
