Real GDP in Ukraine in 2011 may grow 4.7%, says Mykola Ivchenko, the chief of the information and analytical center FOREX CLUB in Ukraine.
According to him, the negative impact on this indicator continues to expose exports, which last year amounted to a negative value of UAH 30.507 billion. "Probably, the trade deficit in the country this year, amid growing international and Ukrainian economies, household income growth and resumption of consumer lending, will increase, which will negatively affect the growth rate of real GDP," the expert predicts. GDP growth in the first quarter 2011, according to preliminary government data, may be more than 6%. The government forecasts a 4.5%.GDP growth in 2011.
