This was voiced by representative of the Cabinet of Ministers for cooperation with Russia, the CIS and Eurasian economic community Valery Muntiyan. He noted that our state must harmonize their obligations under the World Trade Organisation.

According to Valery Muntiyan, Ukraine will have to raise its customs tariffs, and this has to be negotiated with 153 WTO member countries, who  will demand refunding of their losses. Valery Muntian stressed that it should be done on the condition that the Customs Union will compensate these losses. But he stressed that Ukraine does not refuse from creatiion of free trade zone with the EU. On the contrary, being member of the Customs Union, Kyiv will be able to hold talks with the EU from much more advantegeous position, the official said.
