Ministry: Average inflation in 2011 could reach 11.1%

The average inflation could reach 11.1% in 2011 and 9.2% in 2012 (December over December), according to the consensus forecast (as of March 2011) prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
The average consumer price index could reach 10.3% in 2011, minimum inflation rate - 8.6%, and maximum inflation rate - 12%. The average inflation in 2012 could reach 9.6%.
Real GDP, according to the consensus forecast, is projected at 4.6% in 2011 and at 5.1% in 2012.
In February 2011, consumer prices rose by 0.9%, while inflation in January 2011 was 1%.
GDP growth in the first quarter of 2011, according to preliminary government data, could be more than 6%.
The rate of inflation envisaged in the state budget for 2011 is 8.9%, and GDP growth - 4.5%.
