Foreign currency inflow through money transfer systems 23% up

Foreign currency inflow to Ukraine in 2010 via money transfer systems grew 23% to 3.56 billion dollars, the National Bank said.
22 international systems, created by non-residents, transferred to Ukraine $2.61 billion. Market leadership is held by the Western Union company with a share of 41%, and the second place by UNIStream.
Half of all remittances were received from Russia, 9% from the U.S., 7% from Italy, 5% from Spain, 3% from Great Britain. Only 378 million dollars were sent from Ukraine last year. Most money went to Russia (42% of the sum total), Georgia (6%), Armenia and Uzbekistan (4.5% each), and the U.S. (4%).
