Mr. Vadatursky, who remains perhaps the majority owner of Nibulon gave an extended interview where he talked about government corruption, government disdain of the market, and simple greed. In the course of the long interview Mr. Vadatursky discussed corruption associated with grain export quotas, the incompetence of the government in managing food supply, the venality of the tax system and its inspectors, and constant attempts to steal the business by company’s associated with politicians. He explained his recent court case against the government of Ukraine as a necessity to show his financial bakers that Ukraine’s distribution of export quotas was totally non transparent. Vadatursky said that investment opportunities outside of Ukraine are better than inside. When asked whether he faces blackmail or threats and harassement Mr. Vadatursky replied that it’s an everyday occurrence. He also said that he and his team were used to this and would not let it get them down. Throughout the interview he accentuated his positive belief in further development of Ukrainian agriculture without government interference.
