A Ukrainian-Chinese investment project aims to establish a large agricultural enterprise named Fanda in Chernihiv region within five years.
The founders of Fanda are Ukraine’s DARA Group and China’s industrial corporation HuangfanQu. The latter has a controlling stake in Fanda. The project has been negotiated for about two years.
The project development plan envisages four stages: crop development ($17.5 Ml of investment) – a state-of-the-art agricultural firm will be set up to grow cereals and fodder grasses; the creation of a hog facility ($12.5 Ml) for raising about 50,000 head a year. The company is already reconstructing the cowsheds – money has already come for this purpose ($25 Ml is provided for them). Four farms will be built, with 5,000 animals to be kept in each. The fourth step of the investment project implementation ($2.5 Ml) envisages the establishment of a greenhouse facility to grow and process vegetables.
