$2954.7 Ml worth of direct foreign investments have been made in Ukrainian food production this year, the Ag Ministry’s press service reports. The Ministry specified that this is equivalent to 18.4% of direct foreign investments in Ukraine’s industry and 5.9% of total direct foreign investments in the country’s economy.

The largest shares are on account of investments in beverage production – 43.5%, food production (cacao, chocolate and sugar confectionery, sugar, tea and coffee, spices, finished foods and meals) – 19.5%, and production of oil and animal fats – 14.2%. Lower percentages were invested in dairy foods production – 5.4%, fruit and vegetable processing and canning – 5.1%, flour and cereals products, starches and starch products – 3.1%, bakery production – 2.2%, production of meat and meat foods – 1.4%, and production of finished animal feeds – 1%.
