European Union stops aid to EU fruits and vegetables producers due to unreasonable requests on their behalf

According to the official statement, released by European Commission, financial aid to European fruits and vegetables producers, which were hit by sanctions, imposed by Russian Federation. Agence France-Presse (AFP) cited their sources stating that the producers, mentioned above are trying to benefit themselves using EUR 125 million program, initiated by the EU commission. Certain producers of salad and marinated pickles requested aid, which was 5 times higher than total annual exports of the product from EU to Russian Federation. Broccoli and cauliflower producers also requested aid that was 3 times higher than total annual exports to Russian Federation.
