Yatsenyuk expects agrarians to collect 55 mn t of grain

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk predicts that the harvest of grain crops will amount to around 55 mn t.
“Based on estimates, Ukraine will definitely collect 55 mn t this year,” he said at the conference with agrarians in Cherkasy oblast.
Moreover, the decision on reforming the tax system in agricultural sector will be approved, according to Yatsenyuk.
As Capital reported, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food is expecting that Ukraine will collect the record harvest despite losing Donbas and Crimean grain. Grain harvest will amount to 63 mn t as well as in 2013, according to the forecasts of the weather specialists.
In addition, the U.S. Department of Agriculture increased the forecast of grain crops harvest in Ukraine almost by 2.5% to 58.505 mn t for this year.
