Belarus intends to resume work with Ukraine in the free trade zone from August 19, informed Ambassador of Belarus to Ukraine Valentin Velichko at a press conference.
He reminded that in April and May Belarus introduced individual licensing to a number of Ukrainian goods, after which Ukraine imposed customs duties on Belarussian products.
“A number of consultations were held. Currently all these moments were canceled at the level of the Cabinet and Belarussian government, and tomorrow, from August 19 there will be the decrees in a circular of all customs that everything returns to the free trade zone,” said the ambassador.
Velichko specified that in 2013 turnover between Belarus and Ukraine exceeded US $6.2 bn, the same number is expected this year.
As Capital reported, in the beginning of August Ukraine approved a decision to cancel collection of duties on a number of Belarussian goods, which were imposed in response to the introduction of licensing of goods, which are supplied not from the Customs Union countries, from August 19.
