According to the information released by the company on its official website, Agroliga is planning annual repair and modernization on its sunflower oil processing plant. Company is planning to install new equipment and modernize existing production capacities. The most significant improvement for the plant is 100% replacement of natural gas use for biofuel, produced from pellets. The pellets will be obtained from processing of sunflower husk. Company will also purchase additional mill, which would ensure uninterrupted production process. Company’s management also decided to increase sunflower oil storage capacity by 20%. Company is clearly focusing on expense minimization by replacing use of natural gas, which will become more expensive for Ukrainian producers in 2014. Additional storage capacity will allow for more beneficial pricing on their contracts.
