Belarus' GDP up 1.5% in January-May

In January-May 2014 Belarus' GDP totaled Br264,693.7 billion, up 1.5% from the same months in 2013, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee of Belarus.
The statistics still shows a reduction in the industrial output but also demonstrate a positive tendency. Thus, in January-May 2014 the industrial output dropped by 1.3% to Br269.978 trillion.
In January-May 2014 Belarus' agricultural output lost 4.3% in comparison with January-May 2013 to land at Br28.64 trillion.
The share of innovative products in the total volume of shipped products amounted to 15%. Fixed-capital investments stood at Br72.4 trillion.
In January-May 2014 the wholesale trade rose by 11.8% to Br210.4 trillion. The retail sale gained 11.9% to reach Br117.5 trillion.
