Brazil's food processor Cooperativa Central Aurora Alimentos said on Friday it is investing BRL 27 million (USD 12m/EUR 8.8m) in the construction of a grainstorage complex in Cunha Pora municipality, in the southern state of Santa Catarina.
The facility will have a capacity to store one million bags of grain, divided into eight silos. Construction began in April and is scheduled for completion in February 2015.
The complex is financed by Brazilian National Social and Economic Development Bank (BNDES) under the government's PCA programme for construction and expansion of warehouses.
