UkrAgroConsult, Consulting Agency based in Kiev, Ukraine, reports that total capitalization of Ukrainian Agrarian Public Companies has declined by -1.3% over the past week (April 18 – April 25, 2014) to EUR 2.9 billion. Ukrainian Agrarian Index (UAIndex) is calculated in EUR and takes into account fluctuation of Euro against USD, PLN, SEK and GBP, due to the fact that shares of Ukrainian companies are traded in these currencies on foreign stock exchanges. Monthly decline constituted -6.4% over the past month (March 25 – April 25, 2014). We attribute decline mainly due to political uncertainty present in Ukraine that has its impact on operational procedures and international credit ratings of the companies.
