Ukraine. Rada declares five-year moratorium on replacement of designated purpose of land plots of recreational facilities

The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, has adopted a bill introducing a five-year moratorium on the replacement of the designated purpose of land plots of recreational facilities of all forms of ownership.
The document also envisages the expansion of the area of land plots of recreational facilities in towns and other populated localities in 2012 by 5-10%.
In order to improve public policy in the sphere of land relations, the protection of public health and in matters of children, youth and sports, as well as in accordance with the requirements of the Land Code, the Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to draft a law on recreation land plots.
