Grain market: How many corn dollars will earn Ukraine?

Current conditions of Ukrainian grain market will be described by UkrAgroConsult’s leading grain market expert, Elizaveta Malyshko, at the XI International Conference “Black Sea Grain: Expanding Horizons”.
“At the moment our forecast of 2014 grain crop stands at 53 MMT compared to 57-58 MMT last year, - comments Elizaveta. – Reduction in use of inputs during sowing campaign due to unstable financial situation of Ukrainian farmers in 2014 will lead to decrease in yields and thus smaller crop of 53 MMT. However, despite reduction in harvest, Ukraine will be able to export 15 MMT of corn and earn about 3 billion. corn dollars.
It’s also worth mentioning that due to favorable weather conditions in winter, 93% of area under winter crops are in good and satisfactory condition, which is one of the best indicators for Ukraine in recent years."
