Belarus’ share in Russia’s foreign trade has increased as Russia’s trade with other countries has shrunk, State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota told reporters on 1 April, BelTA has learnt.
“Percentage-wise Belarus came to play a bigger role in Russia’s foreign trade,” Grigory Rapota said. He noted that Belarus was Russia’s biggest trading partner in the CIS and the fifth biggest in the world.
Grigory Rapota noted that in 2013 the two countries resumed cooperation in the field of student construction brigades. Young people from Russia were involved in BelNPP construction project.
