Ukraine. Government will consider package of tax bills Saturday

The Cabinet intends to consider 14 bills on the taxation sphere at a special meeting Saturday, which concern the sphere of taxation, rent and excises.
Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Ostap Semerak told a briefing at the Cabinet Wednesday, Ukrinform reports.
"We took a decision to consider and approve those 14 draft laws at a special meeting of the government," Semerak said.
According to him, the Economic Development and Trade Ministry was instructed to hold discussions, and discussions with branch associations, employers and business.
"As concerns this package of documents, the government sets ambitious plans to submit all draft laws for consideration of the Verkhovna Rada next session week," the Minister noted.
In addition, the government at its Wednesday meeting considered a draft law, which envisages reduction of the number of exceptions from a procurement procedure. "Currently, the law working in Ukraine envisages exclusions from a procedure, the draft law, considered by the Cabinet today, envisages only nine exclusions, which is a norm for the European Union," Semerak said.
He said that this draft law earlier was discussed with the delegation of the European Union and the European Business Association.
A final decision on the draft law will be taken at the Cabinet's special meeting Saturday.
