Elimination of customs duties for Ukrainian exports

The EU has proposed to eliminate unilaterally the customs duties imposed on Ukrainian exports.
The announcement was made by the President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso. It must be confirmed by the European Council and the Parliament. This measure would be temporary, it could enter into force in June and apply until 1 November.
This elimination of customs duties represent an annual gain of € 500 million for Ukraine. Adding to the aid plan € 11 billion through loans, grants and business benefits promised by the European Commission. A free trade agreement EU-Ukraine will be signed before the end of the year.
