Market participants estimate that during February,1-23 Ukraine exported 240 KMT of sunoil from seaports. During the same time last year sunoil shipments equaled 186 KMT, and during January 1-23, 2014 – 164 KMT. Sunoil was mainly shipped to India, EU and countries of Arabian Peninsula and Africa.

175 KMT of sunoil are expected to be shipped abroad in the near future.

Therefore, Ukraine not only maintains the leading position in the sunoil export market, but even keeps offsetting the export gap against the last season’s shipments. Most likely, at the end of September-February period we will see some increase of export shipments from Ukraine, despite the 20-dollar price advantage of Russian sunflower oil.

According to market participants, currently the trading activity is normal, and the political environment does not have significant impact on export contracting.
