Russian grain exports rise to 17.3 mln tonnes in farm year to Jan 26 - ministry

Russia exported 17.327 million tonnes of grain in the July 1-January 26 period, up from 13.480 million tonnes in the same period of the previous agricultural year, the Agriculture Ministry reported, citing operational data from the Federal Customs Service (FCS)
Russia exported 13.101 million tonnes of wheat in the period, 1.990 million tonnes of barely, 2.034 million tonnes of corn and 201,000 tonnes of other grains, the ministry said.
In the first 26 days of January, Russia exported 542,000 tonnes of wheat, 32,000 tonnes of barley, 351,000 tonnes of corn and 16,000 tonnes of other grains.
The Agriculture Ministry forecasts that Russia will export about 20 million tonnes in the full agricultural year (July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014).
