In the second decade of the XXI century commodity markets are greatly impacted by technological revolution and financialization of the global economy. Influence and consequences for the grain industry will be presented by Mr. Bernard Valluis, French Flour Milling Association, at the XI International Conference “Black Sea Grain-2014: Expanding Horizons”.
Bernard Valluis is a Deputy President of the French Flour Milling Association since 2009, previously - Executive Director at Soufflet Group with different positions including Trading Division. Being Agro-economist, he started his career in Economic research in French National Institute for Agricultural Research. Next, before leading the French Corn Growers Association, he was an expert of the French Secretary of Finance.
Bernard chaired many national and European grain trading and processing associations as well as GAFTA. He is an author of numerous publications on World Food Security and Markets Financialisation.
