Ukrainian banks receive profits at about UAH 2.5 billion - IABU

Profits of Ukrainian banks in 2013, according to preliminary data, make up about UAH 2.5 billion.
Executive Director of the Independent Association of Banks of Ukraine (IABU) Serhiy Mamedov has said about this at a round table in Kyiv Monday, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The banking system works with profits. Based on recently received data, profits make up about UAH 2.5 billion," Mamedov said.
He also stressed that over recent two years, the banking system of Ukraine demonstrates a positive result, which testifies to the high quality of the banks' work and the situation, which had formed in the banking system and the financial system of the country as a whole.
