Ukraine. Deficit of budget 2014 is 4.3% of GDP - Finance Ministry

Deficit of the state budget in 2014 will exceed UAH 71 billion or about 4.3% of the gross domestic product (GDP).
The press service of the Finance Ministry of Ukraine informs about this.
“The maximum volume of the state budget deficit for next year is planned at UAH 71.6 billion, which is about 4.3% of GDP,” a statement reads.
State budget revenues of 2014 make up UAH 392.6 billion, including revenues to the general fund at UAH 342.7 billion.
The volume of expenses and loans of the state budget are envisaged to the amount of UAH 471.3 billion, including from the general fund - UAH 409.4 billion.
The state budget of Ukraine for 2014 envisages the stimulating tax and budget policy, aimed at continuation of gradual rising of the population's life standard.
With the aim of ensuring proper social protection of every citizen of Ukraine, a gradual growth of the subsistence level and the minimum wage is envisaged in the current year.
As reported by Ukrinform, January 16, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the state budget of Ukraine for 2014.
