Inflation in Belarus at 16.5% in 2013

In Belarus inflation amounted to 16.5% in 2013, the National Statistics Committee of Belarus told BelTA.
In December 2013 inflation made up 2.4%. The consumer price index amounted to 102.4% as against November 2013 and 116.5% as against December 2012.
In December food prices rose by 2.2% from November, 13.4% up from December 2012. Non-food prices went up by 0.8% from November, 7.6% up from December 2012.
In December the index of prices for and tariffs on paid services amounted to 104.9% as against November 2013 and 139.1% as against December 2012.
Inflation was projected at 15-16% in 2013. In 2012 inflation reached 21.8%. Inflation stood at 3% in January 2013, 1.2% in February, 1.1% in March, 0.5% in April, 0.7% in May, 0.3% in June, 1% in July, 0.1% in August, 1.7% in September, 1.9% in October, and 1.6% in November.
