A price for gas, credits from the IMF and reduction of commodity turnover became the reasons of the economic crisis.
President Viktor Yanukovych has said about this in an interview to representatives of Ukrainian mass media.
"A high price for gas, credits from the International Monetary Fund in 2008-2009, and reduction of commodity turnover with strategic partner countries became prerequisites for the economic crisis in Ukraine," Yanukovych said.
According to him, as a result of high prices for Russian gas, Ukraine received "More than USD 20 billion of losses."
Viktor Yanukovych also noted that the fall of commodity turnover is observed, primarily with Russia.
"This trade turnover fell more heavily on Ukraine and Russia as the largest states, on which interstate cooperation is concentrated that exists at high-tech enterprises," he stressed.
