The Ukrainian Agrarian Investments (UAI) holding company will begin the construction of a corn processing plant in Sumy region in 2015. “We would like to have the construction started in 2015,” said UAI First Deputy CEO Peter Thomson. Supposedly, the new plant will produce food ingredients: starch, syrup and sucrose. UAI is going to implement this project with attracting a partner. P. Thomson did not specify the projected amount of investment in the facility. At the same time, he said the company intends to invest $10-15 Ml in the reconstruction and expansion of elevator capacities in 2014-2015. The company’s crop storage spaces currently total some 200 KMT, including 170 KMT in Sumy region.
