Over 10 months of the current year, gross production in agriculture grew by almost 10%. Positive indexes were preserved both in crop production and cattle breeding.

Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk has said about this, the Ministry's press service told Ukrinform.

“Domestic agricultural producers continue boosting production. Over 10 months, gross production in agriculture grew by almost 10%. And this is a very substantial index. Hence, agriculture remains the only economy sector, which ensures a positive dynamics of gross production,” the official noted.

He said that since the beginning of the year, positive trends have been observed in crop production thanks to the record-making yield. In particular, over January-October, crop production increased by 12.4%.

“It is important that we managed to fix a positive dynamics in cattle breeding. This sector showed growth at 4.5% over 10 months. This is very good, since for today, a great social loading falls on cattle breeding. I want to emphasize that growth took place not only at enterprises, but also in household economies. And this was promoted by state programs of financial support,” the Minister summed up.
