The President of Ukraine and the Government today are doing everything possible to restore normal trade and economic relations with Russia, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian public organizations of disabled persons in Kyiv on Tuesday.

"We (both the President and the Government) are now doing everything possible to restore normal trade and economic relations," Azarov said, adding that "it is not just about saving jobs - it is also about a search for the resources needed for Ukraine's development."

He noted that the government "cannot be but disturbed at the situation that is developing in the trade and economic relations with a strategic partner - Russia", the goods turnover with whom makes 30% of the total foreign trade turnover.
