In the perspective, it is profitable to invest in the Ukrainian agroindustrial complex, it can be regarded as a hub for entering the third markets.
Government Commissioner for European integration Valeriy Piatnytsky has expressed this opinion on air of the BTV channel, Ukrinform reports.
“In this case, our agroindustrial complex regards the European market from the viewpoint of new opportunities. On the one hand - from the viewpoint of increasing the volumes and on the other - from the viewpoint of working over the quality and safety,” the expert noted.
According to him, Ukrainian agricultural enterprises have already passed a system of audits and examinations on the part of the EU. He reminded about national poultry breeders, who started exports of their products to Europe.
As concerns the land issue, Piatnytsky believes that the EU conditions and the nature of relations in the agrarian sector do not allow having large land possessions. Small farmers, as a rule, are oriented mainly toward the domestic market. There are no large agrarian enterprises in the EU, which are in Ukraine with lands from 100,000 ha to 0.5 million ha. And this, in his opinion, ensures effectiveness and introduction of new technologies and due to that it is profitable to invest in the agroindustrial complex.
