Ukraine. Finance Ministry places government bonds at UAH 614 million

The Finance Ministry of Ukraine received more than UAH 614 million to the budget from the sale of government bonds at an auction Tuesday.
Data of the Finance Ministry proves this.
"By results of a scheduled placement of government bonds October 29, 2013, UAH 614.192 million was added to the state budget," a statement reads.
The Finance Ministry satisfied two of four submitted bids for the purchase of one-year hryvnia bonds with the yield of 7.83% and all three submitted bids for the purchase of five-year bonds in the national currency with the yield of 14.25%.
There were no bids for the purchase of three-year bonds in the foreign currency with the yield of 8.75% and two-year currency bonds with the yield of 8.25%.
In addition, the investors failed to submit bids for the purchase of nine-months, one-year government bonds and seven-year bonds with the yield of 14.3% in the national currency.
According to the Ministry, the maximum amount of state debt is within the frames defined by the Budget Code of Ukraine and approved by the Law of Ukraine "On the state budget of Ukraine for 2013."
