Boom of investments in the ports' economy is expected in Ukraine in the nearest years.
As a Ukrinform correspondent reports, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Vilkul has said about this October 22 at the Odesa port.
“Boom of investments in the ports is expected over the nearest two to three years in Ukraine. Today, thanks to amendments to the law, state-private partnership projects have been realized actually at all ports. There is confidence that an inflow of investors will grow to the sector,” Vilkul said.
According to the Vice Prime Minister, serious projects are working now or start to be realized in Odesa, Ollichivsk, Yuzhny and Mariupol. In particular, a large container terminal is being built in Odesa, which has chances to become the largest on the Black Sea.
As a result of dredging works at the Yuzhny port, the enterprise will become the largest deep water transport sea gates in the Black Sea basin. Soon, dredging works will start in the water area of the Illichivsk port.
