Belarus’ GDP up 1.1% in January-September

In January-September 2013 Belarus’ GDP totaled Br452.1 trillion, up 1.1% from the same period last year, BelTA learnt from the National Statistics Committee of Belarus.
Over the nine months of the year the labor productivity of the gross domestic product reached Br87 million, up 2.2% as against the same period a year earlier.
In January-September the industrial output shrank by 4.6% on the same months in 2012 to Br453.7 trillion. The share of innovative products in the total volume of merchandise shipped in January-September 2013 was 18%.
Agricultural production fell 2.2% on the same period in 2012 to Br76.1 trillion.
In January-September 2013 retail trade went up 18.6% to Br193.1 trillion. Wholesale trade grew 2.7% to Br374.2 trillion.
As of 1 October 2013 the backlogs of inventory were close to Br28.1 trillion, or 70.6% of the average monthly output.
In January-September 2013 capital investments rose by 9.3% from the same period 2012 to reach Br142.6 trillion.
