Ukraine plans to increase the supply of grain this marketing year to 30 million tons, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysiazhniuk briefed the press on Thursday.

"Ukraine is rapidly developing promising markets in Southeast Asia. Grain exports this marketing year may reach 30 million tons. Particularly, it is planned to increase the supply of grain to China in the amount of 5 million tons. Moreover, sunflower oil exports may be 350,000 tons," Prysiazhniuk noted.

According to the minister, this marketing year Ukraine will become world's second largest grain exporter, yielding only to the United States. It is also planned to start exports of animal products to the EU, in particular, poultry.
