Russian official sees 2013 grain harvest at 85–90 mmt

Russia’s grain harvest may amount to 85–90 mmt in 2013, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said.
“We have earlier announced 85–90 mmt forecast. It has not changed… This is a reasonable range. I think that we will have the harvest volume within this span but we will see whether it will be closer to 90 or to 85 v in several days, which are needed to finish all of the works, especially in Siberia,” Dvorkovich said.
The Agriculture Ministry’s official grain harvest forecast for 2013 is 90 mmt. Minister Nikolai Fyodorov said in late September that the ministry had no plans to cut this forecast.
