2013-10-03 16:46:40
According to the official statement released by the company on its website, Milkiland has launched new cheese cutting and slicing line in its subsidiary in Russia, at “Ostankino Dairy Combine”. Company stated that the line uses modern equipment produced by internationally acknowledged tech producers BIZERBA and MULTIVAC. The line can be used to produce different kinds of cheese, with specific weight, slices size and other specifics. Packaging is designed to prolong shelf life of the cheese product, as the package itself is filled with specific gas. Company’s CFO Alexander Shutilin stated that the total amount of funds invested in new line is estimated at EUR 1 million.
UkrAgroConsult comment: It is not a surprise that Milkiland is investing in increasing its production capacities in Russia due to the recent instability between Ukraine, where the head office of the company is located and Russia, where large share of Milkiland’s consumer market is located. In case tensions between Russia and Ukraine continue, we expect more Ukrainian companies (primarily large business entities) to continue acquiring production facilities in Russia, modernizing them or even building the new ones.
