Chinese partners ready to buy agricultural products jointly grown in Ukraine - Yevhen Kalinin

Executive Director of the Ukrainian-Chinese Council for trade and economic development Yevhen Kalinin believes that joint projects with China in the agroindustrial complex sphere will provide real opportunities for Ukraine to substantially boost agricultural production.
He has said about this on air of the BTV channel.
"The most important is that the Chinese partners are ready to buy the remains of grown products - this is the main thing, because the markets are a very great problem now," he said.
Kalinin noted that last year agreements were expanded on investment to the amount of USD 3 billion to the Ukrainian agroindustrial complex. He added that traditionally this sphere is the most interesting for China. Among joint programs, Kalinin named the project for modernization of irrigation systems on Ukraine's south.
The Chinese, having great experience of own lands' cultivation in desert areas, are ready to modernize Ukrainian irrigation systems to the level of the world's up-to-date systems. According to him, this will enable two-threefold growth of the yield, and the corn yield, in particular, may increase by 10 million tons a year.
