Moody’s lowered the ratings of several Ukrainian companies

According to the official statement made by the agency, Moody’s Agency has lowered corporate ratings of several Ukrainian companies from B3 to Caa1, and default ratings from B3-PD to Caa1-PD including: DTEK Holdings B.V., Metinvest B.V., Fintest Trading Co Limited, MHP S.A., Lemtran, and Ferrexpo Plc. According to the ratings of the agency, Caa level is considered to be of poor quality and are subject of high risk. Moody’s explained ratings’ decrease due to lowered rating of Ukraine as a country.
UkrAgroConsult comment: Macroeconomic risks for Ukraine have grown which will further affect companies that operate in Ukraine and are willing to export their products abroad and attract foreign investors in a negative way. 4Q 2013 will be crucial as it will determine directions Ukraine will take in macroeconomic terms in the future.
