Belarus, Moldova to expand economic ties

Belarus and Moldova need to deepen economic ties. This statement was made at the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Moldova Vyacheslav Osipenko with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Valeriu Chiveri, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
The parties discussed topical issues of the bilateral cooperation and outlined ways to intensify a political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation and humanitarian contacts between the two countries.
The parties praised the pace of trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Moldova and reviewed progress in implementing the decisions of the 14th session of the Belarus-Moldova intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation held in Minsk in November 2012. They also discussed preparations for the next session of the commission that will be held in Chisinau.
The participants of the meeting discussed in detail ways to ramp up cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
