Ukraine. Budget revenues in 2014 projected at UAH 514 b

The revenues of Ukraine's consolidated budget for 2014 are projected at UAH 514.3 billion, and their growth will be UAH 42.7 billion.

This is stated in the draft state budget, which was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers at a meeting on September 11, a representative of the Ukrainian Finance Ministry told Ukrinform.

"The revenues of the consolidated budget for 2014 are projected at UAH 514.3 billion, and their increase will amount to UAH 42.7 billion," he said.

He noted that funds are envisaged in the draft state budget for the settlement of a number of social decisions, including for the implementation of new social initiatives of the Ukrainian president. "Additional funds of UAH 9.1 billion will be sent to introduce new levels of the minimum wage and increase salaries to public sector employees," he said.

The ministry's representative also added that expenditures of UAH 400 million were planned to ensure the last stage of an increase in mandatory additional payments to children from low-income families. "Additional payments were introduced to implement the Ukrainian president's program 'Ukraine for the People,'" he said.

In 2014, transfers to the Pension Fund will grow by UAH 4.1 billion, to UAH 87.4 billion. UAH 22.1 billion is to be used to cover the deficit of the budget of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

The maximum level of public debt is projected at UAH 548.6 billion at the end of 2014. It will be about 32.4% of GDP.

UAH 1 billion is envisaged to provide state guarantees under loans.

Proceeds from privatization are projected at UAH 17 billion.
