In June 2013, the amount of new credits, issued by bank institutions of the non-financial sector, made up UAH 113 billion, which exceeds the previous month volumes by 22% and by 13% - those for June 2012.
The Independent Association of Ukrainian Banks (IAUB) told Ukrinform about this.
"The largest volume of new credits was received by trade enterprises (48% of total volume) and industry (28%), as well as by the companies, engaged in agriculture (6%). Agroindustrial enterprises received new credits by 35% up in June against May, the increase for industry made up 23%, for trade enterprises - 14%," the IAUB notes.
At the same time, the crediting dynamics of the construction industry is rather weak - the share of credits issued to builders in June is only 2% of the amount of new credits to the real economy sector, and the volume of new credits to the construction sphere grew by only 4% against the previous months.
Crediting of natural persons in June was not sufficiently active, the volume of new credits (UAH 9.2 billion) is the lowest in Q2. This is explained by a seasonal factor, related to summer holidays of bank services' consumers. At the same time, 81.5% in total volume of new credits is the share of consumer credits (the share of new mortgage credits is only 2.3%).
According to the IAUB, in choosing the priority directions of legal persons' crediting, banking institutions pay the ever more attention to the analysis of risks and perspectives of different sectors development.
In retail crediting, development of mortgage is hampered by low solvency of population and insufficient protection of creditor banks' rights, related to drawbacks of existing legislation and imperfect judicial and executive authorities.
