Statistics: GDP shrinks by 1.1% in Q2, 2013

Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) in the second quarter of 2013 shrank by 1.1% compared to the same period in 2012, according to the figures released by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
"Ukraine's GDP in the second quarter of 2013 amounted to 98.9% compared to the second quarter of 2012 (in constant prices of 2007)," reads the statement.
According to the State Statistics Service, GDP in the second quarter of this year, given the seasonal factor, fell by 0.4% compared to the first quarter of 2013.
As Ukrinform reported, Ukraine's GDP in the first quarter of 2013 shrank by 1.1%.
