Validity of the cost of services at grain elevators and the port's handling will be checked in Ukraine with the aim of raising purchase prices for grain.

First Deputy Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Ivan Bisiuk has said about this at a meeting with grain traders and representatives of branch organizations, Ukrinform reports.

“It is necessary to coordinate the actions of the Ministry and grain traders. Since all of us are maximum interested that grain producers receive an adequate price for grain. For this, it is necessary to intensify exports in order to unload grain elevators to the maximum,” the official said.

According to him, the state will help grain producers to avoid losses under the current situation, when a drop for grain prices is observed. Bisiuk said that on an instruction from First Vice Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov a special working group was set up, which will study the factors, influencing formation of the cost of services at grain elevators. In addition, letters have been sent to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine and the State Price Inspection on checking the validity of cost for their services.
