Investors want to develop agricultural infrastructure in Ukraine, realizing its advantageous geographical position.
Director of the Department of National Projects at the State Agency for Investment and National Projects of Ukraine Yuriy Husiev said this at a press conference at Ukrinform on Thursday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"Negotiations with potential investors have already begun. They are interested in the development of agricultural infrastructure in Ukraine, because they recognize that the geographical position of Ukraine allows it to be a great hub for the development of this infrastructure in the region," he said.
Husiev noted that at the presentation of the Green Markets project outside Ukraine representatives of countries in the Middle East and the EU expressed their intention to invest in Ukraine's agricultural sector.
He also said that the development of a feasibility study for the Green Markets project is to be completed in August this year.
