Almost half of agricultural business related to grain production in Ukraine - State Register

Since the beginning of year, 2,683 economic entities have been registered in Ukraine, engaged in agricultural activities - 1,161 legal persons and 1,522 entrepreneurs.
The press service of the Unified State Register of Legal Persons and Natural Persons-Entrepreneurs told Ukrinform about this.
“The most spread trend of activities among them is growing of grain crops (except for rice), leguminous crops and seeds of oil-bearing crops. This business is declared by 789 legal persons and 378 natural persons-entrepreneurs or 44% of economic entities, engaged in agricultural activities. Second position belongs to growing of vegetables and melons and gourds, root vegetables and tuber crops. 42 legal persons and 226 natural persons-entrepreneurs have been registered with this type of activities,” director of the department for state registration of legal persons and natural persons-entrepreneurs Oleksandr Barbeliuk has said.
In total complexity, 24,338 legal persons and 84,301 natural persons-entrepreneurs have been registered in Ukraine since the beginning of the year.
