Belarus is interested in the creation of joint agricultural enterprises on Ukraine's territory, President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus said during the expanded Ukrainian-Belarusian talks in the course of his official visit to Ukraine.

"We have come a long way from simple trade to the creation of joint ventures on the basis of cooperation. They work both in our and in your territory. This is good, but not enough. We are determined to make our way towards creating joint ventures in a large quantity and with a large scope and a serious localization on the Ukrainian land," Lukashenko said.

The president of Belarus stressed that the establishment of such enterprises is particularly important against the background of Ukraine's intention to modernize agriculture. "I'm not just hoping that we will sell you our farm machinery - we are ready to set up joint ventures with you," the Belarusian leader said.
